YWCA Rock County has been a driving force for change in our community for nearly 100 years. 2020 presented challenges unlike any we’ve seen. In these times, YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women is as crucial as ever.
We need your help.
We’ve seen the effects the COVID-19 pandemic is having on domestic violence victims, as safer at home is not safer for everyone.
We’ve seen more women affected by joblessness, as industries heavily staffed by women were forced to lay off large portions of their workforce. And as children stay home instead of returning to the classroom, families are facing difficult choices.
We’ve seen the push for racial equality playing out in communities across Wisconsin, at times, reaching a boiling point.
We know there is so much more work that needs to be done.
Only together can we support domestic violence victims, provide care for abused children, make sure families have affordable daycare options, and work to dismantle racism.
You can be the difference!
